There are several screening tests which identify individuals at risk for atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries. 

Ozark Surgical Group offers vascular screening tests at our clinic by Mike DeMass, a licensed vascular technician. He will perform the tests and the results will be reviewed by one of our surgeons.

The cost is $99.00. Insurance does not pay for this test. The tests will include:

• Carotid (neck) artery ultrasound, to detect narrowing of these arteries 
• Abdominal aortic ultrasound, to detect for aneurysm or blood vessel enlargement
• Doppler blood pressure measurement (blood flow) of both legs 

If an abnormality is detected, patients are welcome to make an appointment for further diagnostic work-up with this clinic or another facility. Patients will receive a written copy of the results, and we will share results of these tests with any physician you request.
